Hey men, and men's rights supporters. I am a female, and I consider myself a feminist. Here's a quick gist of my beliefs: I believe men and women should be equal, wherever possible. When I found out 18 year old males have higher insurance premiums than 18 year old females where I live, I flipped my absolute shit. I share custody of my son with my ex, equal, if not more time with his father than me. I believe both parents are equally important. I don't expect special treatment because I am a female in any capacity and work a highly physical job where my co workers weigh 80-100kg and they are male- I hold myself to the same standard as them, and am generally well liked. I could go on forever- but... I am just wondering why men's rights activists and the average person jump on me when I say I suppose Im a feminist? I believe it's not okay to rape someone ever, male or female. I believe cat calling, male or female is not cool. I dont slut shame (again, either gender)... Just on Facebook or random conversations, etc. I have had some issues when discussing stuff. I can't give you the details on my entire life, but ask away if you need more info to answer my question. I am utterly confused and bewildered by the attitude I frequently get from males and females who go ballistic at me. So why not go to the source- Men's rights, how am I infringing male rights? or how are the people who are getting angry with me wrong? Let's talk!
