For feminists the world over, the term idenifies those of us who simply want men and women to be regarded as equals and treated as equals. Nothing more and nothing less.

If that is the case, show us some good faith by working on issues that oppress men while you work on issues that oppress women and stop manshaming us.

Feminism is not a dirty word

And that's the most obvious lie of all, because even if you knew nothing else about feminism and had arrived from another planet you could see that the only reason for writing this list of denials is that feminism is now seen as a dirty word.

How come feminists lobby for hate laws? Not addressed in this article.

Why do feminists say men can't be raped? Not addressed.

Why do feminists support sex segregation? Not addressed.

Why do feminists play down or even encourage violence against men? etc etc.

As a feminist myself, surrounded by many other feminists, it's clear that none of us have the least bit of animosity, contempt or destructive wishes toward men.

Men are terrible insecure in their relations with women. Their insecure because the first lesson men learn about relations with women is that it's always the mans fault. Who the fuck wants to date or be with someone that's trained themselves to be more sensitive to every slight to every perceived imbalance real or imagined and assign fault and administer punishment for it. At least feminist wear a warning label the problem is that their hypersensitivity has permeated the rest of our culture.

What exactly do men have that women don't that can't be attributed to physical differences?

Higher aggregate earnings? We don't get pregnant, so the odds of us having to take extended time off work for legitimate medical reasons are much, much lower. Therefore, men's careers are rarely interrupted. Anything that can be done to resovle this would infringe on men's rights and/or unfairly privilege women.

More career options? Men are generally stronger than women, and can perform tasks few women can. Men are generally less apprehensive about taking risks, so they tend to dominate dangerous jobs as well. These are some of the effects of hormonal differences between the sexes. Unless feminists are proposing the castration of men, or forcing women into testosterone therapy from an early age, there is just no simple or effective way to change this.

Less likely to get raped? That's probably only true for men not in prison. Even then it isn't clear that it is. Even if it were universally true as feminists say it is, men are far more likely to get murdered or violently assaulted by complete strangers. I consider it a wash and I don't think blame for either lie with one gender or the other.

Less likely to face harassment in public? Not only is that entirely untrue, this isn't a form of oppression. Sure, women get more sexual remarks than guys, but guys get more threats of violence. Men live in fear just like women, we're just less likely to express it or complain about it. No, that's not because of "toxic masculinity", its because doing so is unproductive and solves nothing. Inconveniences and unwanted attention are facts of life unless you live under a rock.

...all because they're enraged at the obvious, and obviously unfair, power imbalance that exists between a fully empowered male citizen and a woman who is, for all intents and purposes, considered to be a second-class citizen.

Feminism's entire argument is based on the premise that men have rights and privileges that society refuses to give women. If that premise is false, than the conclusion is also false. Until I see some sort of evidence that women are second-class citizens, I will never call myself or any of my views feminist. Both sexes are very nearly on a level playing field. The evidence actually suggests than men are less advantaged than women today on a social level. It isn't oppression (unless we use the feminist definition), but it isn't right either. This is why I am an MRA. It isn't because of how I feel about women (I think they're awesome, for the record), it is because I see men losing their rights and nobody giving a fuck because feminism taught them that men deserve it.
