No it doesn't make senses. Men and women are born of men and women. They are one people who cannot exist without the other. They share families, homes, communities, and resources often without expectation of anything in return except love and companionship. This is not the relationship between races.

The poverty rate black versus white is 20 points apart while it's only 3 points men versus women. The sexes share a social class. Races are so segregated they end up in entirely different communities where they rarely see people in the other group while a boy or girl are almost guaranteed to grow up in a environment filled with both men and women.

Feminists have betrayed black people in coopting their struggle to play their pathetic victim games. Other than sucking up social justice resources to focus on pettiness they've also indoctrinated a generation in a mostly unproductive approach to social justice centered around gender as if that were the most pressing cause in the 21st century with Gilded Age income inequality between the classes.

The she'd take this nonsensical attack to boys, actual children is even more disgusting. She ought be ashamed of herself.

It makes perfect sense to a feminist who believes that women have true issues and men do not. The thing is, men do have real issues and dismissing them on the basis that "women's issues are more important" is a fallacy.

That's all it comes down to. You either think men's issues are important or you don't.

I think that we need call call feminists on this every time they make racial analogies for gender issues.

Look at the statistics which show that black people are (in general) under-privileged.

Some off the top of my head:

Incarcerations rates
Educational outcomes
Homelessness
Life expectancy

Compare those same stats for men and women.

Women aren't the "black people" in this analogy.

It makes sense if you admit that feminists aren't for men's issues, and so I would use that to prove the point that we need a men's rights movement. She basically just admitted that she doesn't care about solving issues for men.

I've said something like this in the past. I don't blame feminists for not solving male issues. That's not what their goal is, and they shouldn't be spending their limited resources on solving inequalities against men, they should be solving inequalities against women. That's what the issue is and that's why people give them money. That's also why we need the men's rights movement to gain traction and help solve inequalities against men, and we shouldn't concentrate on solving inequalities against women with our limited resources. It just makes sense.

It doesn't make sense to MRAs.

It makes sense for people who think there is a clear hierarchy. If you think that men are clearly better off than women, then, yeah, it makes some sense.

MRAs think that there isn't a clear hierarchy between men and women. Men do better in many important ways. Women do better in many important ways. It's not clear who has it "better".

If you compare whites and blacks on important measures (eg. life expectancy, high school drop out rate, incarceration rate, chances of being murdered, income, chances of being president), then it's clear that whites do better in almost every important measure. It's fair to say that whites are on top and that if we want racial equality that we need to work on the problems of black people first.

In contrast, it's not clear who is doing better between men and women. You can make a good case that women are doing better. For the six things I mentioned above women do better in life expectancy, high school dropout rate, incarceration rate and chances of being murdered. Men have higher incomes and more chance of being president. To get gender equality you need to work on both the problems of men and women. Working on only the problems of women actually increases inequality.

I think it depends on context, unlike with race, which I think is more easily read. I have the unpopular opinion of considering myself to not only be a feminist, but a very vocal proponent of men's rights as well, and would consider myself a member of this movement as well. And a equalitarian- I'm all for labels, apparently.

But um, yes, I think saying "boys have issues too" may or may not be derailment, depending on the issue and the conversation had. For example-- talking about domestic violence. Please, please do inform people that "boys have issues too" they do. Its literally the same exact issue and generally overlooked and I hate that people brush this under the rug. This is not missing the point- this is a tendency for people to ignore (forget?) that men are very much affected by this issue too.

But talking about something that may actually be something that may be much more of a gender specific issue, like women health concerns, and then busy in to say "men have health issues to". Yes. You do, I agree-- but that's not what this conversation is about. I'd be glad to have that conversation, which we should be having more often, but this isn't it.

I think the more common thing that happens is on issues that affect men and women, but perhaps they affect them in different ways. In that case- I think you just have to read the conversation. Since most "gendered" issues that effect women (ie women fearing strange men, which is tough because I shouldn't have the ingrained desire to have an escort to my car from work if it's after 8 and I'm leaving work and have to walk to the garage) also affect men in a similar but different way (men are feared, which is tough because men aren't jackals who all want to rape and kill me and we need to not view them that way), you just need to use judgement and determine if bringing up the other part of the story is derailment or not. Most of the time, it's not, it's just a teaching opportunity (because people are so very uneducated about these things).

I do think though, if somebody is telling a personal story about a personal experience they had, say, with being beaten by their boyfriend or girlfriend, or they were raped, or they had a false rape accusation that ruined their life and they think we need more punishments for those crimes, that's not a teaching moment to talk about the other coin, it's a moment to empathize with the fact that something fucked up happened and we have a long way to go as a society.

while women didn't historically have all the rights men had, they also didn't (and still don't) have the obligations that men have. Traditional gender rolls "oppressed" both genders, be it in different ways. Saying "women had it worse" is not only misleading, its is stated for the sole purpose of prioratizing womens needs above men. That's not equality.

No matter how you look at it, it comes off as trolling. Caucasian women, among all average persons, are the most over privileged group of average people to ever exist.

Since the civil rights ended, blacks have murdered more Caucasians then Caucasian American's died in the world war's. Blacks routinely call for the genocide of Caucasians via murder or rape, as the only way to solve the black communities problems.

Interracial rape is almost totally a black on white crime. Sure there are biological difference that are significant, but that does not excuse black criminality or the POC desire to eradicate Caucasians.

The whole "pity the black people", is pretty old, and dies as soon as anyone looks at the object reality of it all.
