You could call feminism "female advocacy at all costs, even at the expense of males" (this of course, based on what it does rather than th dictionary definition yadda yadda) . Men have no such thing, and lets keep it that way. Our male tendency to favor fairness is what prevents us from wanting advocacy at the expense of females.

MGTOW and the MRM are not really the equivalent of a male feminism. at least as they exist now.

Guys, the question he's asking is what "-ism" would be "a focus on men's rights" like how feminism is (supposed to be) "a focus on women's rights."

IMO, the original concept of feminism was two fold. First, raising women up to equal rights in society as men. Voting, property ownership, machine operation, health care, etc. And Second, to recognize 'femininity' as a worthy cultural trait instead of a limitation or a negative. Sewing, cooking, dancing, flowers, being a mother; this weren't to be seen as a sign of weakness or frailty but as legitimate life style choices and interests often held by women.

What feminism has become, is a toxic mixture of misandry and the worst kind of 'affirmative action'. The battle for equal rights (in the US) is mostly over, and in its place is a distortion of studies and statistics making uneven claims about pay and health. Men don't get free birth control, but women should? CEOs don't have a uniform salary, but it's discrimination when a smaller company pays less? It doesn't take much digging to see how, in the name of feminism, policy makers have rolled over and granted more rights, support and assistance to women than men ever had. Instead of fighting for actual equality, the modern feminist agenda now aims to tip general favor towards women and to leave men behind in the dust. The reasoning is nothing but blatant misandry and petty revenge. "Men had the advantage for X years, now women should have an advantage!"

It's eye for an eye until the whole world is blind. And no lasting good ever comes out of tipping the scales from one extreme to another.

So let's look at what men have:

Men's Rights, or 'MRM', is primarily a reactionary response to the bad things that feminism has done. Where ever there is a field where women have taken away from men to raise themselves higher than men (mother's rights, reproductive rights), Men's Rights justifiably takes notice and offense. People typically involved in MRM want real equality, men and women as equals; not stepping on each other.

As another person commented, RedPill is probably closer to modern Feminism. MRM doesn't want to 'take back what's ours' or 'put them in their place'. MRM just wants actual equal treatment.

And then you have the left over thing we really don't touch on. Maybe RedPill does, I've never been; but certainly no mainstream effort seems to be acknowledging "masculinity". Men are physically stronger, by default. They seem drawn to hobbies with lots of minutia, be it cars, or computers, or comic books. They also seem more 'geared' towards the enjoyment of competitive activities, like sports.

No one is really talking these characteristics up. If anything, while feminine traits are romanticized and empowered, masculine traits are largely frowned upon. Men being physically stronger just makes them dangerous. Being interested in minutia makes you a nerd or a geek (or worse, a 'fan boy' or 'man child'). Enjoying competition just makes men war like.

It's a sad state of affairs. Boys should apparently feel ashamed of themselves just for being boys.

Modern feminism has painted men into a corner. You can't talk up men being better at certain things without the misogyny card being immediately thrown down. Heck, many people view the whole concept of Men's Rights to be misogynistic. And that's fucking insane.

To answer your question: There is no male version of feminism. Feminists wouldn't let that happen.

The male version of feminism is still feminism.

This implicitly brings up the problem of so-called "men's rights" -- that it is prepositionally the same egalitarian abstraction as feminism. So you're trying to solve a problem with more of the same problem.

First, there is no such thing as "rights." They are dispensations granted by the state that it can and does add and subtract at will. Second, people are not equal, by class gender or whatever demographic category you want to think about. In short the only way to escape from abstract doctrines of equality is to stop using them.

No, "masculanism" is actually a branch of feminism - the study of men inside a feminist framework. And held in worse contempt by the MRM that even feminism.
