This has been a bit of a 'big deal' in Australia. Every time I turn on the radio it's one of the first news pieces...people have been calling into discuss it, it's on TV, in the paper...basically she is a bogan who has copped a barrage of criticism from the Australian public. Whilst her comments and attitude is obviously crass, they were not illegal. What would you prefer the consequences be? Due to the widespread public backlash and media coverage, I can assume her political career will be irreparably damaged?

Why are we in here ? Are we here so that we can become the joyless, fanatical, "That's not funny !" people who get you fired at work for saying that somebody looks good today ? Is that what you want ? You want more of that sort of crap ? I for one would prefer a return to common sense, thicker skin, and a right to not have every single fucking thing you say treated as though it were a call to pick a gun and start shooting.

It's not that big a fucking deal. So what if feminists would make a big stink about it ? Since when were THEY our role models ?
