So true. When I've been out with friends, if I'm talking to a girl and start to notice several other men are also talking to her, my policy is always: just give up. Don't even try. I've never been the one chosen before, so no reason to believe that will change anytime soon.

This was something I experienced more when I was a teenager, or in my first couple years of college where you're deemed a loser, and how dare you have the audacity to un-loser yourself.

When I got older, it was kind of the extreme opposite, where my friends would try way to hard to get me with random women (key word: random, these weren't women I was attracted to or actually interested in) and it was super off-putting

If you are hanging out with a much more attractive men than yourself then you are going to have a bad time no matter what. The reality check that you're not on their level will be displayed by the various women approaching him and giving you 'not interested in you' signals. This is why friend groups are usually around the same attraction level, give or take one or two points.

I remember when my friend used to talk that girls don't like muscular guys and I don't look scary.(once he found out I started hitting the gym) and being tall is bad because you live shorter, have back pain etc. Whenever I visited him he used to play movies on chinese fighters win fights against 10x bigger enemies and yt videos on how swimmers bodies look good (he used to swim). Friends, family, strangers almost every body sees you as competition and if you are better than them they silently hate you. It happens at home, at work, at gatherings. Fuck people.
