There are pick me’s and not like girls (nlog)

Most of the women who nlog’s are avoiding femininity due to negative connotations and life experiences. They seek male friendships and validation by being more masculine while making fun of or degrading feminine interests or behaviors. It’s the degrading of feminine interests that makes other women mad not the woman herself.

For pick me’s you’ll see some internalized misogyny or self hate that requires male validation to affirm their femininity. They are essentially female simps who will say and be the things men want instead of her authentic self while dismissing women who do not fit into that box. Once again the issue is the degrading of other women, not the association with men.

Most girls have a phase where they have those types of thoughts but most grow out of it. So while most women don’t have that mindset there are still some women who haven’t left that phase yet.

the phrasing implies they are better than other women for doing so

I'm not picking that up at all. The only thing she said is what she would like to do. Like if she said, "I'd like to be a career woman, have an equal partnership and go 50/50 on everything with my future husband" that is also not pick-me. It's just stating preferences.

I'd agree if she said, "Unlike other masculine modern women, I would love to be a SAHM and cook for my future husband"

Now she's trying to distance herself from other women and is being disparaging while doing so. THAT is pick-me energy. But a woman just stating her relationship preferences, I don't think it's fair to call those women pick-mes.

I agree however these sentences without tone, body language etc are missing a lot of context to be 100%. I did that on purpose to see if people lean in any particular direction. Do we have a bias to call women pick mes because they prefer a more traditional lifestyle.

The bias exists because it is most often the women who do disparage other women who talk like that. Of course it’s not 100%, but if you have a woman rambling on and on about how she just loves being a SAHM, cooking and cleaning, doing all the housework for “her man,” sucking him off every hour when he’s home, she won’t care if he cheated because he’s just getting his needs met, etc, there’s a statistically good chance she would also call other women “ungrateful, worthless bitches who don’t know how to care for their man” for not doing all that. Obvs there are women who do that stuff and don’t think that way, but if she’s talking about it, she probably does. It’s the inverse of a woman who outright mentions that “everything is 50/50 in our relationship, my husband does exactly 50% of the chores, we have separate bank accounts, etc.” You can bet that she thinks women who don’t do that are regressive doormats. It’s just a reasonable assumption to make that if someone’s being vocal about their relationship style, they consider it superior. Just like vegans who constantly say they’re vegan vs those who don’t ever mention it.

Most of these women do this in an attempt to have male validation which Is why the term Is called pick me. The problem comes when women take the side of men without the intent of gaining male validation ,these women are not "pick-me" cuz they are speaking their own mind without Looking for exteenal validation but other women Will label them as "pick-me" and Say they have internalized misoginy The bottom line is: as a women you can't show any kind of sign that you are genuinely simpathizing For men without being called a pick-me, and as a man if you show understanding For women's issues you are called an "ally" and you are praised
