So...full story.

She was forced by her parents to marry someone she didn't want to marry.

Her boyfriend helped her poison a drink for her husband.

Her husband didn't drink it.

She put the poisoned drink in the fridge.

Her mother-in-law used the poisoned drink to make a dessert, and served it at a party.

Since she and her boyfriend made the poison, they were arrested.

She was tried and given 15 life sentences concurrently, and has to pay a 3 million rupee fine.

Provided she survives prison, she'll be released in ~~2033~~ 2043.

I’ve been forced into broke servitude by forced alimony and support payments for a child I did not want to have (let’s not mention she filed false statements creating crazy large payments, without consequences or reduction when my lawyer proved they were false)… wonder if those feminists will support me busting out the rat poison.

Okay yeah, forced marriage is NOT acceptable and it's a tragedy, especially for some young teenage girls in some messed up, backwards countries and cultures.

But killing 18 people that forced you into a marriage is kind of all sorts of fucked up. And especially celebrating it. Yes, very fucking awful of what she went through, but still... she poisoned 18 people.

Again, I don't know how awful those deceased people were and they probably made her go insane.

(Edit) I don't know the full story and yes, I agree that this is all wrong regardless and it should not be celebrated - she's STILL a murderer.

I remember when this happened. All the feminists were praising the girl and said that "she did what she had to". She killed 18 people, including children. This is just horrifying and shows the true nature of feminism, if anything.

I get the laws and religious culture there can be quite extreme, but lowering herself to that level just proves the influence of 'poisonous' (pun intended) feminist ideology. Yes, I have pity and sympathy for the plight she was in, but that doesn't excuse the extremes she took to retaliate.

With the help of a (no doubt male feminist) 'boyfriend', no less. Being so careless as to just leave it sitting about in the refrigerator? Unless that was their plan all along.

15 life sentences ≠ 2043.
What's that again about male privilege? Oh, right. Crickets.

Any word what's become of said 'boyfriend' co-conspirator? If there's any way he escaped similar legal consequences, it's only because of the culture there. If people want "equality" he should receive just as harsh prison time.

Did you know Charles Manson never personally killed ANYONE? That makes this woman approximately 18 times worse than Charles Manson. Lizzy Borden hacked her parents to death with an ax because they wouldn’t buy her a house (her dad was in real estate), but that was only TWO people who had to die for her selfishness. This girl is 9 times worse than Lizzy Borden. Also, poisoning people is the most cowardly and cruel of ways to murder, and you murdered your own family members?! What an absolute psychopath. I hope they grant the victims the opportunity to turn her over to mob justice.

How people turned this into a feminist idiom defies any logic. It was open attempted murder, then manslaughter. Arranged marriage is LEGAL there. So is DIVORCE, but murder is easier and her BOYFRIEND was dumb enough to help her.

There's nothing positive about this story. Not one iota.
