I have in Austin but it’s a very liberal city. This strike is the best thing ever. I got to work in 24 minutes instead of an hour due to less traffic.

I find these sex strike threats very amusing. I'm not sure if they understand it, but it just reaffirms that all they bring to the table is their vagina.

Saw a protest on the side of the road in my town during my commute. Literally drove right past screaming women. What I couldn’t understand was what were they accomplishing? We don’t decide or have influence in things statewide. No government buildings around there. Essentially just protesting to traffic which didn’t care.

my hometown doesn’t give a shit, and neither do I as a woman. this is a state deal now, and if they want to abort a miscarriage or a baby with a defect or whatever, just go to a blue state. logic was never their thing anyway

I told my girlfriend, you wanna go on a sex strike, you can fuck off out my house, and leave your(my) credit cards and car keys on the table. Safe to say, she didn’t feel like the strike was very important.

Overall though the outcome of this won’t be seen for years down the line. If southern states decide to ban abortion, you’ll see the foster care system be even more overstrained, more taxes going to either welfare or policing, more trafficking, more infanticide etc. As a result of people getting pregnant and not being able to afford to go to a blue state to abort or not being legally allowed to.

The effects of things like this are rarely immediate. So get your finances in order and make sure you have a safety net.
