You can do whatever you want with your money. It is yours to distribute however you see fit. Added bonus: you will not have to concern yourself with any fallout since you will be dead 😉

Hey!

How many years have you been dating your girlfriend? Also... how old are your kids?

I'd personally be upset if I was one of your kids knowing that the woman you've been talking to for a short amount of time receives an inheritance greater than me. How is she deserving of it when she hasn't really proven much?

If you were married to her for a while and the kids knew her really well, I could understand why you would leave it to her, but with that not being the case, I would say it wouldn't be a great decision.

Is it a correct assumption that the amount you're leaving to your child is a whole-number (not including 1) multiple of what you're planning on leaving to this woman?

Does your girlfriend have a will of her own? In the event she passes before you, what will she leave for you. Does she have a life insurance that you are the beneficiary?

Nothing totally wrong in my opinion with leaving a little bit of something for your girlfriend but only you knows how much she means to you.

Do you have a good relationship with your son/daughter? If so, your child deserves to be the primary beneficiary of your estate. Put yourself in your child’s position and imagine if your dad left stuff for a girlfriend instead of you. Women replace the men in their lives very quickly but your son/ daughter has only one dad that he will remember forever.
