Gentlemen,

I’ve posted before and was helpful. I guess I am looking for reassurance and validation on a situation which has poleaxed a lot of daily life.

The situation is that my FIL (Wife’s Dad) was taken to A&E critically ill and clinging to the threads of life. He has survived, but requires ongoing surgery as part of his long recovery/rehabilitative journey. This may need some input from the family. The hospital stay maybe Approx 6-8 weeks and the rehab at home up to 12 months.

During this time, my wife’s anxiety has magnified exponentially and continues to ask more of me than I have left to give. She has become even more clingy and anxious than I can endure anymore.

There is no right time to drop this news, only the least worst time. It is reasonable to do this given everything that’s going on right? Or shall I give a few weeks grace?

Sorry for my late night inner thoughts
