40 y.o. and need some sound advice. Should I file and have my wife served or should we attempt arbitration?

We don't hate each other, but we're both unhappy. This has been building for years and I think we both need to put it behind us and try to find some happiness.

She has 2 teenage kids from a prior marriage. I have none of my own.

Our only shared asset is the house and she was only added last year when we refinance. I bought the house before we were married.

I don't know how to handle this and I don't want it to blue up in my face.
