My ex was the twist on this: the girl whose ideal husband is her father… and she simultaneously resented her father.

A lot of women just want a meal ticket now. This is not a new phenomenon. They aren’t necessarily looking for someone just like their father, but they want a “father figure” to pay bills and take care of everything in their lives so they don’t have to… until they become bored with him and take him for granted. that is.

I have a very clear idea of what I am looking for.

That is precisely the role of a husband. You are taking over where your spouse's father left off. That is why you ask permission from their father for marriage.

That doesn't mean spoil them tho. If she is spoiled that should have been vetted for during the dating phase.

If you ever have a daughter you will understand female nature and the masculine/feminine dynamic much better.

I don’t know about being “Daddy’s Daughter”. My experience is there’s three types of divorced women which represent 90% of divorced women:

The Competitor: These are women that are out to show the world they “upgraded” from their ex. They want to be on Facebook and Instagram (with you) at every opportunity. They are also obsessed with their ex and what they are doing. These women usually left a great marriage.

The Damsel in Distress: These women are desperate to solve a problem. Mostly stretched for time or need money. The afe resource hunting.

The Independent: These women fear being with themselves and in a relationship. They tend to portray being extremely busy. They prioritize everything ahead to their relationship. However, if dinner with their girlfriend is canceled that afternoon, they expect you to drop everything to take them out short notice. They get aggravated if you take more than 5 mins to respond to texts or expect you to be on the phone for them for hours- when they choose.
