She cannot tell you how to parent your child when they are with you. The divorce took her rights away in that regard.

She has filed a petition asking you not to introduce romantic partners?

Edit: based on what I think I'm reading, this requirement is not enforceable unless you agree to some prerequisites in mediation. A judge would not entertain this idea from her.

Example: each spouse must notify the other 30 days prior, in writing, before that spouse is allowed to introduce a romantic partner of theirs to the children. Baring flat out a person from seeing another person won't fly, unless she has PROOf that she or the new relationship is actually bad for the child. Which if she does and it is bad, shame on you. But I'm not hearing that it is, so, you sound in the right.

Honestly shes trying to bait you into a fight, both emotionally and monetarily.

Unless you and your girlfriend are doing blow and shooting up i front of your child- this bitter woman has no ground to demand that.

Unless it's on paper she can pound sand. Bottom line is this, she can't control who you bring around the child. She can file a motion, but she will have to prove than your partner is a danger to the kids. Her insecurities about being replaced as mommy are unfounded. In divorce she doesn't get to dictate anything that goes on at your house. Nor can you dictate anything at hers. If you feel the new partner is fine with the children introduce them. I would honestly do it now if you feel it's appropriate. Once they're introduced the court won't act to force them to not interact.

Ignore your ex's requests and demands that aren't spelled out in a stipulation.

File an injunction immediately to force her to comply with your parenting rights.

You have nothing to present at the mediation. Your ex is severely out of line and she's violating your rights as a father.

Quit letting her get to you. Takes a long time. I was gaslit for years on shit that wasn’t right or real. Don’t let your ex dictate the law or your rights. Your life , not hers. Don’t let her think you give a fuck what her opinion is. It’s business; not personal anymore with her. Don’t argue walk away. She will chill out, may take years.

Update: so my lawyer bails out and this means I'll be mediation all by myself. Anyone have any tips? The only thing I want is to be able to have free access to my daughter and for the request that states that my daughter cannot meet anyone I'm romantically involved with removed. That's is all. Also, are there any income based lawyers or is that a thing of the past?
