After I retained my high cost cordel&cordel lawyer I went on cruze control. I quickly learned that he didn't know much or didn't care. Ask questions up front that you know the answers to and see if he is on your side. Could have saved me thousands.

I’ve just gone through it and we reached an agreement last week. The more you can agree on together upfront, the cheaper it will be. My ex wouldn’t agree to giving up a box of Kleenex without talking to her attorney and she reported every perceived slight to her attorney even though I went above and beyond to be transparent and cooperative, so it was way more expensive than it needed to be.
