I've been separated since June 22, and she moved out at the start of October. So I guess I've been properly alone for 3 months now.
Up until now, I didn't have a lot of strong feelings about my divorce, but now I'm starting to struggle. I don't think that Christmastime helped (doubly hard for me because I love Christmas), and I've had a lot of time to myself to just dwell on the shit that's clogging up my head.
I only really feel happy when I've got my kids, which blessedly is half the time.
I've always been into lifting and I've kept that up, so I'm in decent shape. I've been leaning on friends a lot more, although I've been careful not too be too burdensome about talking about my problems.
I wanted to ask about a couple things:
Do you have any YouTube or podcast recommendations that focus less on the legal matters, and more on emotionally healing after divorce?
Also, I really feel like I have a lot of stuff to get off my chest. I found a local men's support group that meets up twice monthly for group discussion, as well as other hang outs and activities. Have you had any experience with these and do they help?
Any other advice welcome. Thanks everybody.
