Has anybody heard of these? I'm a year since the official separation from my STBXW. You would think I'd be feeling much better now right? I found out 3 weeks ago that she's been dating someone, not too long after we split, by the looks of things. I wish her well, but I think a part of me that was hoping for "what if's" was received a nice smack of reality. Ouch!

I was still grieving, most of the time as long as I took some time most days to feel (which usually meant shedding tears) I could hold everything together. But 3 weeks after that news I felt like I was back a square one. On Saturday I had a sadness I couldn't shake which turned into a very scarey anxiety that lasted until yesterday. Now I feel a deep pain in my belly and can't stop crying today. I learned the phrase "grief waves" or "grief attacks" that could explain this phenonomen.

Do any of you gents have experience with these? I was told that they become less frequent and less dramatic as time goes on so I guess I'm just frustrated that I completely fall apart for a week AN ENTRIE YEAR later.
