TLDR - ex asked for divorce 6 months ago. Did it without lawyers (still in affair fog). Even split on assets, no alimony or CS (to start) and 50:50 custody on kids. Since house was in my name (for loan) that she recently assumed I paid for a years of HOI in August. Said I would charge her monthly and recoup once in her name and I'd cancel to get refund. She couldn't get HOI (uninsurable??) so put policy in her name. She got pissed I wouldn't give her my weekend near holidays so said she wouldn't pay back policy ~$1200 and instead would monthly. I know she's broke already (always been a spender) and probably due to anger & financial situation.

My question is I'm leaning towards just saying ok since I can float the $1200 for the next 10 months and I'd take it as just my lesson to not be nice in the future. (I originally paid for full year so she could get it cheaper; also wouldn't have put it in her name if I knew she wasn't going to pay right away)

Seem like a logical thing to do versus trying to stand my ground and tell her to pound sand for sake of grey rocking/learned my lesson pretty cheaply.
