Still in the middle of a divorce with my soon to be ex wife. Turns out she's been having an affair with her boss our whole marriage, and I just got confirmation a week ago. Since then she has ramped up her psychotic behavior. To the point she called the police on me when I was trying to drop my kids off on Sunday, as court ordered. She claimed I was going to attack her, I waited 1.5hrs until a cop showed up and eventually assisted with the drop off. Crazy I know, I didn't do anything wrong, so I was good.

This is not even what this post is about, I wanted your guys thoughts and opinions on this. So my soon to be ex has a best friend with a son that is 6. My daughter is 5. She is often forced to hang out with him even though she does not like him. One day my driver tells me about an incident that happened with the boy that was extreme inappropriate (I won't go in to detail). I told my soon to be ex to talk to her friend, or that I will be contacting the child's parents. She refused to talk to her friend and insisted that my 5yr old go to therapy first (makes no sense). I contacted the parents in a polite manner, they got defensive for some reason. My ex got extremely mad and accuses me of trying to ruin her friendships.

Ex still ends up taking my child to a therapist and proceeds to tell me that my daughter told the therapist a different version of the incident and what she told me didn't happen. Which I dunno why my kid would tell a random stranger what happened. Now my kid probably thinks every time she opens up to us about something, that mommy will take her to the dr. This is sick work in my exs part.

My question is did I do the right thing as a father? If my daughter tells me something concerning, I don't need to take her to a therapist to get validation.
