Your lawyer doesn't make you so anything. If your lawyer isn't fighting for you then you need to find another lawyer.

Also, I'm guessing you are leaving out some critical details regarding your case. Such as, your ex accusing you of something?

You're attorney works for you. If you don't like it don't sign it. If you don't like what they are getting you fire them and hire another. My ex wife makes this argument all the time "well my attorney told me we had to accuse you of things and try and get you out of the kids lives" No she didn't have to make those arguments/motions she chose to.

Why do you need to be monitored? Do you have a criminal record? Documented child abuse? Have you been inpatient for psychiatric or drug treatment? Barring these things I would demand my lawyer immediately motion for 50% parenting time minimum.

Do you have a parenting plan that states you are only to have that little parenting time or is her attorney trying to establish what normal is to royally screw you down the road. I suspect the latter. Your attorney needs the other side to produce evidence of abuse. Don't accuse her you just look like you are playing her game. Let her show she is a liar.

Finally you mention having an agreement to see the kids with your ex. If she isn't allowing you to see the kids why not? And if there is no real reason she is withholding the children from you. Judges do not like that and your attorney should be able to have a field day with her in court and get you more parenting time if she is withholding the kids from you.

Why don't you have every-other-weekend with your son? Convicts have more parenting time than you do.

And why are people insisting that you have supervised parenting time? There's some detail that's not being shared.
