I am 3 years separated , and 1 year officially divorced

This group has given me quite a lot of home, especially stories of folks who went through shit storm and came out on other side ;)

Now, after few years of no relationships and missing sex life, ive got back on track

But, I am super afraid making same mistakes but also afraid to loose being close to someone

I am 32, she is 25 Both are working

I work in IT , earn some ok money but not enough to live careless life. Lets say, i have 1-2k left a month. No debt, mortgage and some small savings

Back after i started dating, i see of course all young girls want to travel and travel and etc

And i understand, this might bled me out slowly , doing nothing good for my financial future. Like a death by thousand cuts?

We are still just few weeks into relationship, but it seems to go fast.

How do you make sure to be financially safe to somewhat extend and still have experiences together?

We are both from eastern europe, girls have mindset of man aka provider.

Hence, i still don’t know where to put a proper line and talk about finances and set expectations ———/- Did you had those conversations on finances? Were they successful? Any tips? Do you set a monthly/yearly budget? —————- As well, in my last marriage we had a lot of travelling, and my ex became later very oriented on money/status/cars and etc. And left me for other, more richer guy

So, i dont want to be trapped in same situation and neither want to be super crazy guy not wanting to enjoy some quality time;)

P.S : don’t see that she expects any luxury and etc, just want to have some experiences
