Hi, thank you so much for taking the time to read this post. I know this sub is for divorced men, however I am the girlfriend of a divorced man. We have been together for almost 10 years. She's a very bitter and angry woman, however despite this, they've managed to co-parent their two sons pretty well over the years. His boys are now 15 and 12. I've been on the picture for a very, very long time. I've been with him for longer in the kids lives than they were when they were married, however we are not married. They had a previous child support agreement that was made with a mediator and they've been working off that for many years. There are a lot of other factors involved in this, however I'll cut straight to the chase. He just got a notice in the mail that she's taking him to court for additional child support even though they were having conversations about this for the last few months and he already agreed to pay her more. We're worried she's trying to be super Greedy and see just how much she can get out of him (and let's face it, in reality me as well). We share a bank account, however we are NOT legally married. Can she come after me for any money for child support? I don't think she can, but I have no idea how this works since I have no kids of my own and don't have a crazy bitch of an ex wife. Any of you dudes out there with girlfriends who help financially support you have ever had to deal with this kind of thing before? Please help. I do not want to deal with the wrath of this woman in any sort of legal sense, and I'm scared.... thank you in advance! 💓
