I think my divorce will be final within a couple of months. I didn't want the divorce, and I still want my wife back, but I have been working on myself, and I have accepted what is going to happen.

I will have a little cash after the dust settles, and I need a vacation. I want to go solo somewhere alone, but I don't know where.

Before I married her, I would go to Vegas for a few days. Vegas is still an option, but I don't really want to gamble much these days. We took a lot of trips to resorts in Mexico and DR. While I may be able to deal with the destinations on a solo trip, seeing a bunch of couples at a resort may bring me down.

I like beach bars, and a place that is 420-friendly would be nice (STBXW hates it). Jamaica and Amsterdam are obvious choices (beach bars aside), but does anyone have any other ideas?

Any ideas in general?

I'm in the US, and it needs to be worthwhile for 5 nights or so.

Is there even a name for a solo post-divorce trip?
