My soon to be ex wife moved out of the house with our 2 kids and moved to Colorado with her family. I stayed in North Carolina because my military Contract ends March2025. (We’re selling our current house btw) she recently asked me if I could use my VA home loan to help her buy a small house on Colorado, so she and our girls have their own place. Of course I’d do anything for my kids. I’ve already agreed to pay her $1,500 monthly, agreed to give her 80% of the profits from selling the house, gave her our only car so she’d have a way of getting around, and agreed to give her 100% of next years tax returns. I would do anything for my girls and I’d love to know they have their own place, but using my VA loan and buying a house with my ex wife sounds like a bad idea. What do I do?
