Ex wants a settlement, and for me to propose the terms. I will obviously talk to my lawyer about this, but I would really appreciate perspectives from the other men here. What should I ask for?

Background: I have years of verbal abuse against both myself and our kid documented and carefully cataloged. Some is on admissible video as well. We both make good money, her a little more than me. For the last few months of separation I've done about 75% of the parenting.

I would also like some freedom and support so that I can get out again and date and all that.

Full custody would be a possibility but there's no way she would agree in a settlement offer. I will have to come up with a reasonable ratio, but given the abuse I want to be very careful here.

We could do a good ratio of joint physical but me get legal. This should prevent some of the more egregious acts. And gives me control over school choice and such.

I could stand to get child support as well depending on this ratio. Even with 50/50 I probably still would get some according to state guidelines.

Anyone have ideas of what I should ask for? I imagine there's a pretty standard list of conditions most of us seek.

(This is really for custody and support. Assets are being treated separately.)
