Should I file protective order?

I made a few posts about the incident here already. Live in FL

Basically, going through a messy divorce. Wife is an aggressive alcoholic.

A month ago she attacked my 14 year old son while drunk, left scratches on his arm. Cops were called. They didn't seem to care. Was contacted by CPS, they said they didn't feel he was in immediate danger. I contacted the courts victim services, they were almost zero help...warned me against filing a PPO against my wife with an ongoing divorce case (it looks bad, like I'm gaming the system), that it's my son's word vs hers and the only evidence I have are pictures of the scratches on his arm.

Issue I have, is that this is the only incident where the police were called and is documented. There have been others and they've been increasing in frequency the last 3 months and continue to escalate. The most recent was the worst.

Since the incident she hasn't seen my son and has barely talked to him. She claims he pushed her down (zero chance).

So is it even worth filing a PPO on his behalf against her at this point? I have no lawyer, I can't afford one...I'm on my own.

Any advice?
