Looking for some advice. My wife and I separated in October and agreed on certain splits of assets. In December I received domestic relations papers as my wife had filed for spousal support (For context I live in PA). I went to my attorney and he assured me that it wouldn’t be hard to get it dropped as we weren’t even married for 3 years. Fast forward to our court date, I make $90k a year and my wife makes $48k a year. I assumed all debt from our relationship and she moved in with her father. I now have to pay her $996 a month until the divorce is finalized which she won’t sign the papers no anyways. Is there really no way to fight or appeal spousal support? I find it ridiculous that we were married for 2 years and I’m paying her more than my mortgage payment a month.
