It’s been six months since I first filed for divorce and I’m considering switching attorneys. My lawyer criteria when I first started the process was someone priced reasonably and good. I searched the internet and was referred by another attorney to the attorney I’m currently retaining. I thought my divorce was relatively simple since we were only disagreeing about child custody and spousal support. Over the last 6 months my wife has become convinced that the only way she is going to get what she feels entitled to(lifetime spousal support to name one) is in court. My current lawyer passed the bar in 2016 and I’m concerned she’s not experienced enough to represent me well. Originally I thought our divorce would be relatively quick and easy but now it’s looking more like a long, drawn out battle. I’ve been referred to a much more experienced lawyer by a friend. Any suggestions? Or experience with switching mid stream?
