So during my own discovery I've found out that my wife forged my signature for at least last years taxes and maybe the last two. It's a bit of a blur.

Last year I kept asking when she wanted to do taxes and then she finally replied, oh they are already done and your return is in the joint account. She didn't mention what the return was or even what my return was. I thought it was odd they were done seeing as I took no part in it. I later confirmed through a couple google searches that I should have signed something. When you trust someone you don't think much of it ya know.. but it just weighed on me enough and for enough time I started to ask myself questions.

Well it turns out, last year, she transferred $1200 to the joint account. Which was my return I was to then transfer to my personal account. I just saw our 1040 document. The tax return was for $8638. We have two kids.. I make $55k a year and she makes $70k a year. She pocketed $7400, it's clear to see why she forged my signature and tried to avoid me seeing our tax return.

Were about to go into discovery and while I know her bank account is considered community, what can I do about these hidden deposits? There was another $5000 from 2022 tax return and another $5000 she snuck into her account from a escrow surplus check.

Since I never filed individually I believe the courts would see it as an agreement to filing jointly.
