The Emergency hearing was ex parte to get me to pay her 20k and have an immediate ruling for spouse support.

Judge called our case and I sat with my lawyer and her lawyer was alone. My ex wasn't in the court room. Judge asked if my ex was going to be there and her counsel said no. Judge looked sideways and mentioned that she was the one that wanted the hearing and couldn't even bother showing up.

Her lawyer makes their pitch and my lawyer shuts it down and then my ex decides to roll into the court room and take a seat next to her counsel.

Judge scolds opposing side saying it was basically a waste of her time. There was no emergency. She also refused to give them and expedited hearing date and said if they wanted a hearing on the matter it would be in March and until then it was up to both parties to come to an agreement that she would then hear and make a ruling on.

Now I wait for their pitch. How much are they asking for? Then I counter and hopefully with all the facts I mentioned in the post yesterday I have more ground to stand on.

I laugh that she showed up late to her own emergency hearing after her lawyer said she wouldn't be there. I mean that can't look good for them.

All in all I chalk it up as win today.
