So my STBXW assaulted me one night and was arrested for DV. She admitted it in her statement and it was captured on body camera. I wasn't badly hurt and the DA didn't bring any charges. After that there was another time that I called the police because I was afraid she was going to get violent again and I was granted a restraining order the next day

For context my STBXW was a SAHM for most of our marriage.(10+years)

My question: Is anyone here also a victim of DV and still forced to pay Spousal Support/ alimony to their abuser?

I know most of the time the system is rigged against men but a victim being forced to pay their abuser regardless of any other circumstances would seem to be a gross miscarriage of justice.
