Active duty military, stationed overseas with a Stay At Home wife, and a 2 year old son. My wife and I had constant issues for the last few years, and things have gotten progressively worse. Whenever we had issues, she would not attempt to communicate with me about them at all, and would run right to her phone to text or call her mom, who would proceed to talk endless shit about me, our marriage, and encourage the lack of communication, or to leave. About 3 months ago, she went to my leadership with allegations of domestic abuse and that I was always breaking her things out of anger, having occurred last year, with the destruction of property being fairly regular. This created a shit storm of agencies on base getting involved, and an investigation by law enforcement beginning into the allegations. During the course of our mandated Case Worker sessions, her family and friends would call in more allegations, all thrown out, if not denied directly by my wife. During the course of these, I was forced to agree to send her and our son home by a date we then "agreed upon", as well as an agreement to allow for daily communication with our son, and to not file for custody or divorce while she is home, and myself, her, and the case worker acting as mediator all signed it in acknowledgement. As the date got closer, I would ask every day or 2 if she had gotten tickets, to which she would always reply "No." When we were a day or 2 out from the initial date, she said she had not gotten tickets yet, and would probably need am extra 3 days, which was fine, I agreed, and informed my leadership. The very next day, I came home to an empty house, no note, no family, no notice. She had taken our son, and their things, and flew home without my knowing while I was at work. The investigation closed out, and all charges were dismissed, as there was absolutely no evidence of my ever physically harming her, or breaking her things (because these things didn't happen.) During her time home, she would on several days block all communication attempts by me to talk to our son, due to her not wanting to interact with me, or because she was not happy with me or the situation. During our case sessions, she openly admitted to myself and the counselor that she was depressed, felt unfulfilled as a stay at home mom, and knows she did not seek help, or communicate that to me. I attempted to use the on base Chaplains to get us some help, and begin Marriage Counseling, and the 2 of us attended the first session, to which she admitted it was helpful and a small step in the right direction, but that we had a long way to go. Last night I received an email from a court assigned attorney, she filed an emergency petition for Protection From Abuse against me, and requested that our son live with her for the duration of it being in place (1-3 years), and had no interest in doing anymore counseling sessions, and I was to have no contact with her until the next hearing with the Judge in a week. What the fuck am I supposed to do when she is constantly being told by her mom to leave me, not work with me, and she refuses to see that her mom is tearing our family apart without even letting us try and fight to at least try and fix these issues.

I am not a perfect husband, I argued with my wife at times, but I never harmed her, or destroyed her belongings. Also, I am due to return to the U.S for my next assignment in less than 3 weeks.
