My wife of 15 years was caught in an emotional affair in June, we tried to work it out for the kids (it didnt). We both went to individual therapy and couples therapy. It was the first time in my life I experienced therapy. I went a total of about 12-14 sessions and towards the end it was getting extremely repetitive, I would recall answering the same questions with my same detailed response and got the same responses back from the therapist. At first it helped me discover some of my fears and helped identify where they came from but it didn't tell me what to do about it. We seems to always want to discuss a new topic rather than solve anything discovered. Is this normal? What does therapy even look like for a divorce, is it the same and therapy for anything else?
