I wanted to give a reason or two but ideas started piling in my head and I am not patient enough rn to list them all out. You know she just wanted to imply that all man either are rapists or hide rapists that she didn't give a it single thought.

Because one rapist typically rapes many women and is overall a bad person, so we avoid him. Women don't. Every guy knows of a shady guy that they avoid at all costs and don't get involved with. Usually that same shady guy has a more constant stream of women then we do too. Which makes us really wonder, how exactly is the abuse our fault then?

1) Rapists are less in quantity than rape victims. One rapist usually commits several sexual crimes. 2) Rapists mostly either keep each other or avoid sociality at all and rarely befrend normal guys. Rape victims have regular social life. 3) There're way less chances that a guy confesses another guy he's a rapist than that a girl confesses another girl she's been raped. 4) Women can be rapists too, and men can be rape victims too. (Not answering the question actually but a very important detail that this woman missed.)

None of these types ever seem to personally to a racist person...

If every other woman knows a woman who was raped, it would seem that most of these women dont know a rapist either.

Further, a little common sense

Rape, however many people have proximity to victims, is a crime committed by a minority of men and women.
What she is talking about will be rapes that have majority gone unreprorted to authorities. Just speaking to friends. Thats how every other woman knows someone who was raped. Couple issues there. Simply saying you were raped doesnt count towards statistics. It may well have happened, but just saying it is just saying it. The other more pertinet thing is that rapists who have raped people but it has gone unreported; these people arent going to declare their actions.

If Johnny rapes his gf because she didnt say yes or give enthusiastic consent, Johnny isnt going to go and tell his mates what he's done is he? So how are people supposed to know? Extra Sensory Perception? Tarot cards?
