The 80/20 rule, for example, was from one dating site study with a small sample size that literally tested eharmony users before apps were even widespread. It also doesn’t hold up to actual real world dating dynamics. Redpill/blackpill/manosphere influencers tend to seize on single examples of individual studies or anecdotes like that and run wild with their own conclusions so that they get to say they’re providing the Ultimate Truth (for subscribers and followers, of course) and that anyone outside their group is just too stupid to understand.

In reality, people are different and want different things, 5’6” men get laid all the time, poor men get married, dating apps don’t represent reality, etc.

This is what confuses me about black pill shit. Like, okay, let's say you're unlovable and can never find sex or a relationship. (I doubt that's true for most incels, but for the sake of argument, I'll go along with it.) So... what now? Why make it your whole personality? Why spend the rest of your life scrolling through incel forums and making yourself miserable? Can't you just focus on other stuff and make the most of what's available to you?

I think the red pill’s purpose is to “help” men succeed in the dating world and believing that women are primal and only want men who are rich and muscular and alpha dominant is misleading and ineffective at helping men get into relationships.

With the blackpill and doomer ideology though, no one is subscribing to this ideology to get help or get better. The point is not that the blackpill is supposed to help you. That’s ridiculous, the whole point is that you feel like you are just incapable of succeeding and therefore you want to blame it on something to make yourself feel better, and hear other people echoing your self pity to validate you. So blackpill doomer ideology, unlike red pill ideology is not meant to be useful.

You absolutely nailed it. Whether the 80/20 rule exists or not is totally irrelevant to your actual life. If you want to get into the top 20%, sitting around in doom-forums complaining about your genetics isn't going to get you there.

The blackpill provides zero ROI (Return on Investment) for your time and mental energy. It’s an excuse to give up. The truth is, attraction is highly dynamic. Once you stop obsessing over jawlines and wrist sizes, and start focusing on your charisma, your fitness, your career, and your social emotional intelligence, the world opens up completely.

I see this all the time. I work with a lot of guys as a coach who come to me completely burnt out from red/blackpill content. The first step we take is going on an absolute 'content diet' from that stuff. Once we replace that mental cancer with actual self-improvement and social skills training, their dating lives completely change.

People can't really cope with life being unfair especially if you're pre-disposed to depression and you are bombarded with this shit every time you go online. Men are largely neglected emotionally so a lot of us don't develop well. The pressure to perform masculinity is high so you either get the hardasses ( red pill ) or yearning toxic optimists ( black pill ). They're the only people who will have sympathy and empathy for your situation.

Women will say things, but largely they don't really get it. I'll ask a woman "How many matches do think I get a week?" knowing that the answer is I get one every 2 weeks. This is after running my profile by some women friends.

I've had 10+ sexual partners. So I know I can do it. I have the literal evidence, but, if you're not exceptional in some category, you do not get the message reinforced that you're valuable for who you are only what you can do. I catch so many strays for being black or short. No one really says "I like short guys" and means it because you get shamed for that a bit as a woman. By short I mean shorter than them. I've had partners literally tell me if I was taller, less scrawny, had a beard, etc. that'd be nice. I mean, I'm trusting that they loved me, but could you imagine telling a woman that if she had some C cup tits, or didn't have alopecia she'd be a hottie?

I made 200k+. I don't have gold diggers but I provided a lot of material value so that's what I was most confident on and I actually got compliments on that. That and my hair and my sense of style. But those took so long to develop. To be a desirable man to the point of getting external validation is a lot of work. Apply that to most things women purport to want. Emotional intelligence. Being good in bed. Having a decent body. Romance. Most people aren't tuned to do that, and, even more, life actively works against providing you with those experiences. Most women though are unhealed and don't even require those things. But finding that out requires a lot of observation to truly believe and it's a bit confusing too because no one will outright say "hey you're enough to date women". There's not really affirmation outlets for that. Women have that embedded in their culture though almost to a fault.

Most people, men included, do not acknowledge the insecurities of men. There's a reason why the body positivity movement included people like Lizzo, but she can make a song called big dick energy and no one bats an eye. Men are simultaneously expected to tolerate this ( I can't tell you how little engagement I get when I bring this up to my women friends ), but be confident despite it. It's hard to get into the momentum of doing so.
