I think a lot of guys especially have a hard time wrapping their heads around this. Being pickier (finding a smaller percentage of people attractive or dateable) doesn’t always mean someone has extremely high standards (requiring your partner is extremely high status, privileged, societally perfect body etc).

I wouldn’t want to date the vast majority of guys. It’s not because they don’t have 6 packs, are not NBA height, don’t have model faces, or are not multimillionaires with the best pickup lines. It’s simply because I don’t get along with them, or they’re not my type and I’m just not gravitated towards them, even if they are rich and chiseled. Of course I have standards (great manners, has a good job, dresses well), but most of all I have a type I tend to get along with.

I feel many other women are this way too.
