I did NoFap, but not for any of those"benefits"

I was wasting a lot of time on porn, and It also Made Me stay up late

Leaving porn and Masturbation is A Good Way to control your sexual urges and also a good habit

But, if you decide to watch porn and masturbate, It's fine, it's not the end of the world if you don't let it take over your head

Semen retention is pseudoscientific nonsense. NoFap has its place, for example if you're having trouble getting motivated to look for partners and dating, abstaining from releasing sexual tension can certainly make that tension grow, and get you wanting sex a lot more. Also if you're masturbating compulsively and using most of your free time to do it, it's probably a good idea to cut back.

What does this have to do with Red Pill? I think there are a lot of reasons to quit porn including: trafficking women, no fap and of course religious beliefs. I don't know why some people view all no fappers or anti porn people as Incel Red Pill neckbeards. It is a personal choice not related to any ideology. Also no fappers come from different backgrounds, genders and ideologies

Mmmm I haven't checked any studies or anything serious. But I know people who do that, and it really suits them. On "scientific evidence". You have to distinguish. Just because there is no evidence of something, doesn't mean that something has been disproved, but only that there is a lack of evidence. If someone does a study comparing the health of a group that does Nofap, another group that masturbates regularly, and a control group, well, I think there would be evidence of what works and what doesn't.

Edit: Also, correlation does not imply causality. There is also a correlation between testosterone and aggressiveness. Also between drowning in swimming pools and Nicholas Cage movies.

Nofap is a weird fad with no evidence to back it up whatsoever rooted on this stupid, esotheric idea in which people believe they lose "vital energy" for masturbating. If anything, i'd think that it's not orgasming that creates tension.

As for porn, i don't watch it, so i have no opinion on that. I just think that porn is mostly fucking weird anyway.

I am not a man, so I can only speak to this tangentially, but there have been studies that show a correlation between frequency of ejaculation and reduced risk of prostate cancer. I would encourage you to ask yourself: has this become unhealthy for me? Am I excessively dependent upon it? Has it affected how I view women, and myself? In that case, it may be time for a break. I am *gasp* a woman in *gasp* her middle age who *gasp* occasionally watches porn to get in the mood, but I try to make sure I consume porn that is ethically produced by happily participating actors. Yes, there is such a thing, you just have to look a bit harder for it, and you usually have to pay for it.

Ideally, masturbation should be sex with someone you like, maybe even someone you love. Try to approach it from that frame of mind: an act of self-care if used well, an act of self-abuse (to use the Victorian anti-masturbation phrase) if used unhealthily.

It actually does more harm than good. Did you know that if you masturbate and ejaculate at least 25 times per month, you are less likely to develop prostate cancer. Prostate cancer runs on my mum's side so I always need to keep the pink bazooka active.

Abstaining from porn does help your brain because the brain can tell the difference between outside sexual simulation and just masturbating to thoughts. However in the case of outside sexual simulation it can't differentiate between porn and real women which is where bulk of the problems come from.

Also if anyone reading this is battling porn addiction like I was, being sociable and spending time with people helps tremendously, better than anything else

How about instead of "no fap" you just engage in "no porn" ?

With that said, it seems like a lot of this behavior is just a result of having too much time on your hands when you should be doing something else such as working out, hobbies, etc.

I know I will get shit for this, but, I think it has helped me tremendously. I did NoFap November, it was incredibly difficult at first. I am not religious, but, I think it helped me tremendously in overcoming mental addictions (porn, etc). I even extended it past November for a week into December. After the first 2 weeks, it felt like I was always very calm and collected, like my mind was sharpened. Take it for what you will.

Edit: I don't think its good for long term, I think it's good to do it like every now and then to reset your stimuli.

The sexual impulse is one of the toughest to tame for all humans. Most people succumb to that urge and they ruin there lives you see it all the time (through crime, infidelity etc.) . Lots of benefits come from practicing discipline through semen retention and no-fap. I’ve felt the benefits for sure, mainly more energy and easier to keep a uplifted mood.
