I think there's a difference between selfish and self respect though.

Women are just called selfish if they show an ounce of self love or respect. So a woman who works while raising her kids is called selfish. Just like a SAHM is called selfish for not making her own money.

Selfishness from men is them completely abandoning their children and treating their partners like slaves.

We shouldn't use their words or pretend to aspire to their toxicity. We aspire to be self respecting and confident, not selfish and arrogant.

I can attest that. Never ever settle for the “ I wanna build something with you”.

I saw so many guys in med school dumping their girlfriends that helped them and cheered them, so they can be surgeons and specialist, for a woman that never saw them struggling!

I know a girl who was brining the best homemade healthy food, the best memory medics to an intern, and she cheered him like crazy, and he STRANGELY started to notice that he doesn’t have feelings for her, just after he graduated and started his career as a specialist. He wasted years of her life, and he gave all that hard work for another woman that never saw him struggling with money issues and depression, the same way his ex did. A hard work that he claimed to do all BY HIMSELF. It didn’t bothered him, for a seconde to block his ex, after dumping her.

This girl could’ve easily avoid that, if she invested all that energy in herself so that she could be successful on her own.

I have no problem doing that! Some men couldn’t keep up and others resisted. They didn’t last. They didn’t love themselves to then love me nor did they see me as a queen! I am high caliber, why settle?

It’s the truth. I’ve been happiest when I’m living for myself. And on the whole, my fiancé seems to be happy when I’m happy.

Inconveniencing myself, censoring myself, or otherwise de-prioritizing myself for the sake of my fiancé’s comfort or my own sense of being a “good partner” has been a waste of time and energy.

So after a regrettable year-long stint of pickmeisha behavior I am back to living for myself, and my fiancé is welcome to come along for the ride.

I think men are taught to be selfish. Their whole lives being selfish is reinforced, but if men truely were naturally selfish there would be no HVM.
