Hi ladies,

Does anyone know why a guy will give you intense compliments during or immediately after a date then not reach out after (aka ghost/slow fade)?

I realize I'm not everyone's cup of tea, but it makes no sense to me when a man says "you're wonderful/amazing/etc." (completely unprompted) then doesn't reach out. Scenario in my newbie stages of FDS: You go on the date, smile, laugh and have a good time. He pays, hugs you goodbye (with a bit of lingering) then sends you a few texts before bed. You say you had a great time but refrain from gushing. Then, during the 24 hours after, crickets.

"He's Just Not That Into You" rings true as always, but why lie? Why tell a girl she is amazing and wonderful then just leave her scratching her head after she gives you space to text first? I have heard guys do this looking for hookups, but they seem not to be looking for that nor did they act rude/sexual.

I have not chased any guys down or asked them out, which I feel happy about. I'm actively straightening my crown everytime my brain goes numb from these experiences. Like yeah, I know I'm wonderful (lol) but why act like you want to see me again of your own volition when you don't?Literally right now the only guys talking to me are ones I have not met yet (including one with plans this weekend).
