At 25 I got there once. I “found myself” and was happy and free. 5 years later and some very intense downs and I’ve gone back a notch to not having hope :( it’s still not linear

This is honestly mood. At 15, I wanted to be a certain way. At 24, I gave up on becoming that woman. 7 years later I'm SO much more than the woman 15 year me would have totally crushed on and I had that realization only recently.

It took my a bit longer to reach my goal version of me. I’m 30, but I’m still proud I found her nonetheless. My 20 year old iterations of me had to be sacrificed to get me to this point.

THIS. I used to be so deathly shy and meek, I would get bullied either by schoolmates or family members and I would just freeze, unable to even get words out of my mouth. And on the rare occasion I did, it would come out wrong and I'd get laughed at. It was horrible. But now... if only I could rhyme, even Eminem would be scared lmao
