Yeah I’m pretty sure her net worth is way higher than his. That’s the problem of being a high value (money wise) like Taylor Swift or Beyoncé or Rihanna. They have a very small amount of men within their level to date. And most men within their level are going to turn hateful/cheat because they’re upset at how successful their wife/gf is. It seems to be TS’s ongoing relationship problem. Almost every guy she’s dated ended up emotionally abusing her for being more successful.

In Better Man she reveals John Mayer had jealousy issues. I’m the entire Red album she speaks on how Jake Gyllenhall was constantly making fun of her music and putting her down. Calvin Harris scoffed at the idea of collabing with her while they were dating even though she secretly wrote his most successful song.

Her current man isn’t at her genius level but seems to be humble about it. I think that’s literally the bare minimum of what she needs.

Funny story about John Mayer: A high school 20 or so minutes away from me managed to reach out to his management team and book him to play at the school's senior prom. This was the time between his first and second album and "Your Body Is A Wonderland" was a huge hit.

I was honestly so surprised when the rumor was confirmed true by the area's newspaper. There was enough going around about how he was a massive asshole. Now, I'm not going to say that everyone isn't entitled to have their bad days, although John Mayer's - when not driven by alcohol or partying - were certainly ego-driven. It was never disclosed how much money the school district - hence, the taxpayers - fronted to hire him, but I know it made for a memorable evening in the best way possible. It didn't seem like something he would say "yes" to, you know?

With Taylor Swift, she is absolutely polarizing (her friendship with Lena Dunham is a rant for another day). I have always found her songs to be artificial and as you put it, "... (...still kinda is) a diehard pickmeisha...." Like, she is this "do-gooder" who has had all of these awful things happen to her. Then she "reacts", and it really more of a child throwing a tantrum. This is how a pickme acts when throwing themselves at whatever will garner them attention ends up backfiring. The John Mayer situation never made sense to me. However, there are always two sides to every story. I'm not defending Mayer here, although too often people tend to side with her because she plays a victim.

Not too long ago there was a thread on here about FDS applying to celebrities and if we look to that. From what I recall, the general consensus is that celebrity women have more resources at their disposal, so leaving a relationship if they needed to is more feasible. She was mentioned in the thread about how she and Joe Alwyn have been together for over five years, yet they live together. It was really interesting to read the comments from users who always cite the FDS Handbook putting her on a pedestal.

Truthfully, I totally and respectfully disagreed with the opinions. Joe Alwyn was pretty unknown until they began their relationship. He strikes me as the kind of low value male who uses a woman's status to elevate himself. She decided to credit Joe as a co-writer on her songs for her last album which was pretty laughable. Is your boyfriend so hard up for acting jobs that you need to find a way to generate income for him? If it were a woman in this community doing the same, members would be the first to jump in and say how damaging it is give a man any amount of your money since it allows him to have power over you.

Sometimes people tend to model their lives after what celebrities do and Taylor Swift is a prime example of a pickme. One of the best parts about FDS is taking time to reflect on past mistakes, avoiding the actions that lead to what happened, and putting time not just into nurturing yourself, but also cultivating positive relationships (familial and friendships).

She portrays her "friendships" with Selena Gomez and Karlie Kloss as strong, but really, it comes off as a deliberate, publicized effort to the media to make her seem likeable.

I am not sure why you are getting downvoted, you make a good point about Taylor giving him credits in her work and how if it was anyone else in FDS we would be asking why? Yes Joe is an unknown but I thought his lane was acting (which he started in 2015/16?) not music.

Didn't Rihanna get disapproval for getting pregnant without being either married or engaged on this sub?

I do appreciate celebrity women are a a different level to us in terms of resources, so they might have to take longer to navigate things as they have so much more to lose and can get hit with a media storm (Taylor herself got dragged hard through the mud for her dating), but they can still have pickme tendencies if not be out-right pickmes.

I do think Taylor has grown and learnt from her mistakes over the years, but she does appears to be quite the romantic at heart and even now seems to usually be more into the person she is dating than they are into her. Though this is an extremely long distance speculation from someone who is not really into celebrities lives or has listened to much of Taylor's body of work.

I had to go back and look up her history to figure out her dating timeline. She's certainly dated quite a few high profile men and has created a tabloid's feast of drama to report on. She also seems to have short relationships and rushes things in them as well. I really feel for the Kennedy kid, as she decided to buy a house close to him to be near him (Not to mention he was 18 and she was 22). Really kind of creepy if you ask me considering they had only been dating 3 months with him still in high school. However, she did seem to keep her housing separate with the previous guys, even if she did move quickly in relationships. I'll give credit where credit is due in the sense that she kept a safety net available.

She seem to put the guys she dated on to pedestals until they did something to ruin the "perfect image" that she had of them and broke it off or they broke it off with her.

With this latest guy, she straight up moved in with him which is odd for her. People say "He's good for her and she's happy" but I think she is trying a new tactic to keep a guy. She's integrating him into multiple aspects of her life and seems to be sacrificing her own previous boundaries to be with him. I could understand if they got engaged and were planning a wedding or something similar but it seems there is nothing in that sense. There isn't a future outlook other than "live-in girlfriend" which is odd for someone who made songs about finding the right guy and getting married.

Granted, this is all speculation. I don't know any of the people and have second hand reports from articles which is hardly concrete evidence.
