Does anyone else hate the term “bad bitch/girl” and “baddie”?

They put women into categories thanks to the porn speak language they usually use. You think your hair color is just a neutral trait until brunette and blonde are actually porn categories.

So if they use their porn speak to label you a confident woman, it's just a way of saying you're doing the right thing in a LVM lense.

I'm happy they use their porn speak. Helps you run the fuck away faster.

It annoys me because usually it's in rap songs associate with major pick me behavior that the man is praising. When women refer to other women as bad its because they're hard core, fashion, sport, career. When MEN use it, it means you're cool with going to strip clubs with them and threesones with women even though you're not bi. The " Down for anything" pick me. I used to dress punk glam because I thought it would be secxy and intimidating. Men thought it meant I was "dtf" but not girlfriend material. I think men and women have entirely different meanings for lots of phrases....

I use it with my girl friends as a compliment, I would say “damn ___ you look like a whole baddie “ but I don’t like when guys say it cause the ones who say it usually say it provocatively and weird

A "bad bitch" is a confident woman. They call her a "baddie" because confidence in a woman is seen as abnormal and wrong.

I believe it's us reclaiming or "bad" self. I usually tell my friends, when they are angry but insecure about starting confrontation with a man: "get angry sister, be a bad bitch" and they feel more entitled to take the roll they were taken away when they were little girls being told to be quiet and smile. Or that's the way I see it. We using this language to me means we own it, you can't call me bitch as an insult, me being a bitch is only a problem to you cause I'm not gonna be quiet anymore.

Words are there, they'll always be there, let's own the definition before the definition owns us.
