I didn’t know that breadcrumbing actually had a name before this sub. I knew what the guy was doing but I didn’t know it was common or not. Here’s the story:

5 years ago, I was a freshman in uni. I met a guy on tinder who seemed so great and we really clicked. He was a few years older, keep that in mind. We went out three times, third time we were making out at his place and he got hard and wanted to hook up, I didn’t want to have sex so I literally ran away lol. I think he got really mad because he pretty much ghosted me for a few weeks, and then started making plans with me and then ghosting me the day of! I definitely fell for those “dates” twice.

Anyways, after two times of him making plans and then ghosting I woke up and stopped talking to him. He would reach out every 3-4 months to say hi and ask to hang out but I stopped responding. Then about a year in he stopped messaging me.

Fast forward to last year (about 4 years after we initially met) he messaged me on Facebook asking to go for dinner with him. We were never Facebook friends. He never even knew my last name so I have no clue how he found me. At this point he was maybe 27-28 since he’s older. I told him that he was creepy as hell and to stop messaging me, and he was so offended that HE blocked ME! Lol

That was by far the worst guy I’ve ever met. It definitely seemed like he wanted to “punish” me or something. Is this breadcrumbing? Is this a guy dealing with his own personal trauma and is a sociopath?
