Just making this post to share with you ladies why you should never put up with lvm behavior.
I was seeing this guy I met on old for almost three months. Looks wise I am way out of his league, but we had some work in common and education wise he matched me which was good enough for me. Something felt off, even at the end of the 1st date I remember scratching my head at a few of his comments (seemed immature). Slowly his mask started to slip, he either lost interest in me or had bad intentions from the beginning and it started getting longer and longer between texts. He still showed just enough interest to not make me suspicious and string me along, but he also started suggesting lower effort dates and occasionally suggested dates at his place (which I made excuses for) without talk of committing. I ended up inviting him over to mine after 6+ dates hoping to just get closer to him and to cuddle and make out at most (regret it now but at the time I felt bad for curving him and wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt). I didn't have sex with him (didn't feel comfortable, no commitment) but he tried which really bothered me. This was almost two weeks ago. he made like one low effort attempt to try and get me to his place on a weekday and that's it. haven't heard from him since. Looking back I am disgusted at how he always was slowly trying to test my boundaries and determine how much he would respect me based off that.
On valentines day he didn't text me and that's when i decided to block and delete (thanks guys).
I posted a joke about being single on valentines and to my surprise a different guy that I was always very interested in responded and finally asked me out (we knew of each other but were never in the same city until recently). Hes from the same culture as me, our fathers are best friends from childhood, my parents both know him and think he's a hvm, super handsome, cultured, kind, also super educated. he is leagues above the other guy. even the way he approached me was so thoughtful and considerate. this whole time, he's been wanting to ask me out, but because I was wasting my time with a lvm, he didn't because I he thought wasn't available.
Even if this guy is a hvm that doesn't mean it will work out or that he's right for me, but just wanted to post and share why it's so important to not waste time on lvm. I constantly was upset over this other guy for months and was upset towards the end at the thought that he probably found another girl who he thought was better than me, and that's why he was stringing me along. turned out the opposite lol.
