Regarding men getting away with always doing the bare minimum and even being praised for that ( He: Changes diapers once = 🥳🥳🥳 Her: Raises whole child single handedly = Ok so? )

I think part of the reason why women’s work isn’t as valued like it would if a man did the same is because women put a lot of importance to make things seem to go seamlessly as if they did themselves. Like for example if a man fixes something at home he will groan and loudly announce that he had been working through sounds and then how his armpits were sweating but women usually keep quiet about their pain to the point some even smile in labour and act like it was nothing meanwhile the man alongside had fainted or whatever, women basically just shrug it off meanwhile men demand all the credit they can get for everything.

So basically men are just putting up a huge show and since people see how exhausted they are they get a pat on the back meanwhile the women who still looks fresh and good to go after raising five kids and juggling housework and other stuff looks like it wouldn’t harm her if she did some more work. It’s basically all about appearance and women kind of do themselves a disservice to always look clean and not to whine about all their woes
