This post made me realize, I have never once met a low maintenance man. They are so much work, it’s impossible to maintain one long term without straining yourself mentally, physically, emotionally and financially.

The dudes bleating about high maintenance women are the same ones complaining about their girlfriends growing 1/16th mm of hair on their legs or 'letting themselves go' after not losing baby weight three minutes after giving birth.

PERFECT response. Because people who say things like that are usually projecting their insecurities onto you.

“You do too much” = I feel like I do too little.

“You’re high maintenance” - I don’t have the range, bandwidth, or resources to associate with someone like you.

“Ugh. Why do you like X?” - My interests are different from yours so I’m questioning myself but projecting that confusion onto you.

“You’re crazy.” - I don’t have the range.
