This also applies to friends too, I called my bitchy friend out and she said this, now she acts sane around me. But normally she would say I’m too bitchy/mean/sensitive

One of the first things I highlighted in the book I’m reading “Why Does He Do That” is, paraphrased, angry and controlling men will try to tell you what you should think, and try to get you to doubt or devalue your own beliefs.

I’m actually excited for the next 🤡 that tries to control and devalue me. I’m going to block delete. No more paragraphs.

I remember the last time I ended things with a guy for cancelling last minute on our second date, and he tried to tell me how he can’t believe how insensitive I am, etc. haha

Right.... because cancelling a date last minute isn’t insensitive? So much projection.

I could have avoided the horror show of one of my exes if I had done this when he flaked last minute on our date on Halloween. The hell he put me through after that. If I had only been smart enough to heed his red flags and cut him off before we became intimate and the sexual/mental abuse really began.

My ex used to say this to me when I told him I didn’t find his insulting jokes about me funny. He made a joke about my dead grandma and then had the audacity to call me “sensitive” when I called him out on it! He gaslighted me the entire time we were together. I’m so glad I realized I didn’t deserve to be treated that way
