So I met a guy on OLD and 1st date was...awkward? Idk like I could tell he was super nervous but he did seem like a nice enough guy with a REALLY good job and similar background as me and I was attracted to him. He said a couple of smartass things on the date that ticked me off (corrected me when I pronounced something wrong or corrected me when didnt use the exact right word or pointed out a mistake I made in a story I was telling) but he apologised the couple times it was clear I was annoyed by it.

He also asked soooooo many questions on the date without turning anything into a story lol. it was like a job interview. he also did a couple of things that I really liked (seemed very concerned when I didn't seem to like my food, made sure it got replaced, paid no questions asked, made a really cute joke, seemed concerned when I told him about stuff that happened to me, asked to come to me for the date).

I literally left the date thinking he probably wouldn't be interested becasue it was kind of awkward and was surprised when he said he wanted to see me again and ended up texting me the next day. Since then we text about once a day and its mainly him asking me questions trying to maintain the convo and me trying to end the convo and just answering without asking any back because I find it kind of annoying.

The few times I ask him questions he barely answers them so it makes the fact hes constantly trying to ask questions even more annoying...I'm just getting the vibe he is only asking questions because he wants to maintain a convo between dates or something idk. But I kind of want to give him one more chance but I gotta check in with FDS 1st.

What do you guys think of the texting and this guy in general? Should I just continue to respond to his texts once a day (its low enough effort) and see if he asks me on another date next weekend? Idk if this makes me weird but the awkwardness makes me even more into him lol.
