How do you respond to breadcrumbing without blocking?

Blocking is the best way. Not only does it baffle him, you also get to move on in peace (the most important aspect)

Your unwillingness to block just tells us that a part of you still hangs on to some hope, that he’ll somehow realize the errors of his way and turn around and be your dream guy again. No sis. Kill all hope, mourn the loss, move on from the whole situation and level up.

The only person you can control is yourself. Do you even like him. Do you want his attention. Is he a decent person. Could you see yourself making a future with him.

It’s done to keep you on the hook with minimal investment, in case the guy hits a dry spell, then he can up his game suddenly and reel you in. It’s a deliberate and cruel tactic. Men are told by pick up artists to never ever to break up with a woman; Just send a text or two every now and then and say you’re busy with work to maintain and keep her on the hook. We need to spread the word about this and shut it down.

You can:

A) Dump the breadcrumber, wish him the best of luck and say you’re looking for someone who has more time and energy for you. Then block

B) Tell him you’re completely bored with the ridiculous on-again, off-again nature of your interaction. If that’s what he’s planning on doing again, let’s end it.

C) Go ghost

Oh God, I have this problem too. I really like this guy but he has been breadcrumbing me (just realized what his sick tactic was called) for a year now, even after a heartbreaking confrontation. Now he texted me again but I’m sick of it..

I guess the only solution is to forget him (don’t respond and block him if you can), men like these are cruel.

Breadcrumbers stay that way. If you ignore them long enough, they’ll step things up to where you are hooked on them again, then they’ll go back to breadcrumbing. It’s who they are and all they are capable of. Either move on or keep them in a rotation, but give up on them being LTR material. Sorry. Been there, done that.

Please love yourself and block. He's putting himself and his interests first with no regard to your feelings. You should put yourself first as well. Keeping him as a friend means he will still have a chance to reel you back in.
