“I don’t text much” = setup for low expectations!

The social media one! Lol. My LVM ex had Facebook but any time I said something to him about it over the long course of our relationship he would say “I’m so dumb when it comes to using it. I have no idea what I’m doing. I don’t know how to change it so you can friend request me” etc. And used that as an excuse to not post us when he had been posting pics of him and his drop dead gorgeous “friend” when I met him, so clearly he had it figured out then. Oh but he loved me so much and they were just friends.

Ok but I actually don’t text much and even my parents need to wait a couple hours for a response lol. Actually, now that I think of the number of scrotes that have gone ballistic in my inbox waiting for a drop of my attention, this might be a good thing

I don’t totally agree with this. Some HVM actually don’t text much or use social media and will let you know that. However, they’ll be different when it comes to you. I date a HVM man who “doesn’t text much”... but he responds to my texts in a very timely manner (outside of a few work meetings) because they’re from me. Yeah he’s not particularly interested in his phone, but because he’s very interested in me he’s happy to get my texts and respond to them. Even if a man isn’t a tech guy, how much he likes you should override that and he’ll respond to you. A HVM hates the thought of making you feel ignored.

If you’re dating a guy who claims not to text much, that can be okay if

Exactly. And for HV women things can be flipped (for me they are,anyhow). I’m on the road a lot and work long hours running my own business, so between work calls/messages and me trying to breathe in peace I might deal with personal messages..once a day? And I prioritize, so the lame “How’s it going?” get pushed off to the weekend.

The thing is if someone Is genuinely interested they will become a Texter. They will put the effort in & Check their phone because they’re exited to hear from you.

The whole phone thing is true. I say the same thing so I don’t have 5 or 6 guys texting me at the same time. There’s no such thing as a bad texter, I just don’t want to talk to you.
